The San Gabriel Valley Adult Soccer League’s vision is to create a top-notch soccer experience in the local community that is open to adult male and female recreational players of all skill levels. The league’s mission is to promote physical fitness and to teach the game of soccer by offering a safe and fun environment in which to play and to learn. SGVASL also seeks to offer opportunities to play soccer among disadvantaged youth by underwriting scholarships and otherwise offering assistance for children enrolling in American Youth Soccer Organization programs. Given that soccer truly is a beautiful game that promotes fitness, health and social wellbeing for individuals of all ages, SGVASL is committed to teaching and promoting the sport throughout the community.
On the field, maintaining physical well-being, mutual respect and camaraderie among league participants are the key goals. Abiding by the league's rules and regulations is the surest way to attain those goals, which is the main reason for enforcing them. Winning games, while fun, is a secondary aim that shall not undermine the league’s primary objectives and mission. The league's format and rules, enforced by trained referees, are unique and designed to enhance player safety and to make the game accessible to coed recreational players. If you are a player interested in joining SGVASL, simply complete the registration forms (i.e., registration form, ethics pledge and waiver) that can be downloaded from this website, and submit them to one of our league officials either by sending them to our email address or by handing them in at an SGVASL event. The League accepts new players for the upcoming season on a periodic basis.

SGVASL Fall Season Moved to Gabrielino H.S.
We are excited to offer a special venue for our fall soccer season: the turf field at Gabrielino High School. A special thanks to Eloy Zapate and the SGUSD Board for making this possible.
The SGVASL fall season will run for 10 weeks from September 25th through November 27th, with games being played on Sundays in the afternoon at 2:30PM and 4:30PM (note the latter game time change).
Given the unique characteristics of a turf field, we ask that no food or beverage products be consumed on the track or turf areas, but that these are kept outside of the inner fence (i.e., on the asphalt). As always, we should leave the facility at least as nice as we found it.
One final note: due to considerations related to our insurance coverage, we will not be allowed to permit minors to participate as players in our games going forward.
The cost of the Summer Season is $80, which entitles you to play one or both of the two games scheduled each Sunday. If you would like to play a single Sunday only, you may do so at a cost of $10. All players are required to have submitted the league's registration materials (registration form, waiver and ethics pledge), along with payment, before taking the field. Please arrive about 30 minutes early this Sunday if you would like to register for the fall season, or about 10 minutes early on other Sundays if you would like to pay for a single game.
Concurrent Season at Pioneer Park
We have confirmed the launch of a second concurrent fall season occurring on Wednesday nights at 8PM at Pioneer Park in El Monte (3535 Santa Anita Avenue). We will start this Wednesday (10/5), and a 10 week season will run from October 5th through December 7th.
We are offering a single game under the lights for those interested in a second day of soccer during the week. The cost will also be $80 for a ten week session, and you will receive a 50% discount if you have already registered for the Sunday fall season at Gabrielino.
Registration will occur this Sunday at Gabrielino, as well as 20 minutes before the first game this coming Wednesday. You can download and use the same forms, located at this website, as used for the Sunday afternoon session.
